Karon village along Karon
beach Phuket is a quiet area at the west coast, just about 10 minutes with
the car or bike south of Patong.
The Karon
beach resort is the only accommodation which has a direct access to the
beach, see the pictures below, it'sa excellent
beach site, because of the sheer length it never looks crowded. A Karon hotel
is rather at the village at the northern end where
also several smaller Karon massage parlors are, at that area is also
the nightlife at Karon with plenty of restaurants, Thai bars and
go-go bars. Most
massage parlor are
for the guys to
get sexy things done, massage is only a front end, resort& spa
are several.
This place is
ideal for holiday at Karon beach Phuket since it's not too
expensive and everything including the beach is only minutes away.
Don't park a car anywhere around there when Tuk Tuk drivers can see
you, they make fun out of it to slit your tires or let the air out
of the tires if they see a farang, that's the same at Patong and
elsewhere in Phuket, Tuk Tuk driver are like the plague, they hate
foreigners, aside of the fact that the foreigners bring them the
money the live on.
There are
a couple of Karon beach resort
but only the southernmost has a
direct access to the beach. Beach resort & restaurants
are usually cut off from the beach by the beach road. Since the
beach road is not very busy and at
the exit from every beach hotel a security guard is placed
who stop the traffic for you means no problem to enter the beach.
Plenty of Karon
beach resorts are in Phuket and further away
from the beach also plenty of Karon hotels, accommodation and
guesthouse. Some of the resorts have spa facilities
integrated, it looks like every upscale hotel this days in Phuket
has

a spa.Not only the hotels
offering spa service,
also plenty of spa facilities erupted on Phuket island. It was
really like a eruption, one started
and fifty others followed immediately, this the usual rhythm in
Thailand, one start and many follow.

Most Karon beach resorts have a nicely decorated
cafe
shops.
A strange thing is the Central Karon hotel.
For some
reason
during a
very
short
period
of time
they allowed a tall building at and quickly someone pulled the high-rise hotel and apartment building up in the mid of the village, it looks real ugly, after this they stopped allowing any high-rise buildings there, looks like some manipulations done "under the table".
Karon is a excellent Phuket beach holiday destination just
right on
the
Andaman
Sea.
Hotel
prices
are
relative
moderate
means
plenty
of
families
are
around. In Karon village further up from the big "round about" at Karon Beach are plenty of low priced accommodation
and
guesthouse.
In this
area
every
night
Karon
nightlife
is on,
there
are also
lots of
restaurants,
street
food,
open air
go go
bars,
and
Karon
massage
parlors.
Beach
massage
is
offered and also in the massage parlors in town, but the later offer mainly special massage for the guys.
Phuket
Karon
beach
also has
a huge
shopping
area
in a
tent
structure
where
all kind
of
textiles,
clothing,
shoes
and
plenty
of other
items
are
sold,
interestingly
almost
all
personal
there
are
Bangladeshi
and
Nepali,
that's
the same
at the
restaurant
streets
which
leads
away
from the
beach
area.
Here is
also the
only
Hilton
hotel on
the
island,
a huge
resort.
Sometimes
during
monsoon
the red
flags
are out
since
the
water
gets
real
violent,
that's
not a
real
problem
by
itself
but
strong
currents
are
initiated
which
move the
swimmer
out to
the
ocean,
here the
Andaman
Sea
apart of
the
Indian
ocean
and
there is
no way
to swim
back to
the
beach,
several
people
drown
every
years
who
thing
they
know it
better.
The best
waves
for
surfing
are at
Kata
beach at
couple
of
minutes
south. |

In August is low season and not much to do.

They already made up all the deckchairs and umbrellas in the morning, now its the foreigners turn to enjoy beach life. There is no doubt that if you want great vacation this place on Phuket Island is the one to be because of its fun, vibrant, relaxing and have a great beach massage. Phuket Island has at least 2 dozens excellent beaches of any type, each allowing different type of of activity and preferences to all the visitors and tourists on economic or expensive holidays. When you want boating and yachting, no problem, Phuket has several marinas from the super yacht size accommodation |

to the small catamaran maybe started at Sydney.
For those who want luxurious Phuket beach holidays, they also have plenty possibilities mainly at Karon Nui Beach, Bangtao Beach and Phuket Laguna plus Mai Kao Beach at Phuket's north west coast. Also for family beach holidays Phuket island still has lots to offer. There are several beaches if you like to be alone and others where you are within a crowd of thousands tourists, but there are no beaches where topless, nude or anything like this is allowed, respect the other culture in a different country. |
