Nai Yang Beach

Nai Yang Beach is at the north west of Phuket Island, a few 100 meters long and very close to Phuket airport.

Coniferous trees line the beach, huge old beautiful tree pictures.

Since Nay Yang beach is close to Phuket airport it means qite far to Patong and Phuket Town, both are about 30 km to the the south.

There are some small cluster of houses around, plenty of facilities and restaurants are just along the road which separates the  beach from the hinterland. Developments of hotels and apartments are under way.

Nai Yang Beach is rather low developed since there are several hills in between the main north-south highway of Phuket Island and also at the beach between the beach and behind the road, its quite narrow.

Quite new to Phuket Thailand is kite surfing, currently its done only at Nay Yang beach since exactly there is the right wind and the waves are not as high as at Kata Noi Beach the right place for surfing on Phuket Island.

Nay Yang Beach is a great place for the rookie kite surfers but also the advanced kite surfer will find fun.

At Nay Yang Beach Phuket you can learn to kite surf through instruction and practice. If you have surfed or sail surfed before you have an advantage to understand how to maneuver yourself in the wind.

Kite surfing is enjoyed around the world by people of all ages, its a little bit difficult at the beginning but at Nay Yang Beach kite surfing is taught by the local experts and they do a good job.
