Surin Beach is
at west coast of Phuket Island, somehow in the middle stretched along the waterline
for about one km and
behind are hills.
Behind the beach runs the beach road
and along the beach road are some of best hotels and resorts in
Phuket Thailand. Like The Cedi Hotel, actually the Chedi Hotel
is already a bit further north on Pansea Beach, but all this is
within about 10 minutes walking distance.
There is also the Twin Palm Hotel at
Surin Beach ,
in a modernistic style environment and a new
Marriot
Courtyard Phuket just beside.
Along the road are plenty of shops,
small supermarkets and the usual Indian tailors plus naturally Thai
restaurants.

Its about half distance between the airport and Phuket Town,
from Surin Beach leads a very winding coastal road to Kamala Beach
and Patong Beach. To Patong its about half hour.
Surin Beach is quite popular with
Thai's , many enjoy the beach in the afternoon and / or have a
picnic on the Pick Up back.
There are other accommodations around
on Surin beach, mainly bungalows and cottages in the hills.
Actually Surin beach and Kamala Beach
further south are not very inviting in terms of a attractive view.
Right behind Surin and before the beach road are the usual small
shops and restaurants.
